Traveling With Your Pet

Traveling with your pet can be stressful and costly.  We strongly suggest allowing yourself plenty of time, in some cases up to 6 months, to organize travel requirements depending on the destination country.

There are several steps and documents required that vary from each country and region.  For example, some countries require blood testing and parasite control prior to travel, in addition to a general health & wellness exam. You can find most of these requirements on the  Canada Food Inspection Agency  website, however, reaching out to the governing body of the destination country is always recommended for the most accurate travel requirements.

With the increased number of people traveling with their pets and constantly changing animal export rules, it is ultimately the owners responsibility to ensure that all documentation is correct and in order prior to travel and final CFIA endorsement.

Please have the required documents printed (in the correct size paper) and ready for your appointment with us. Multiple documents may be required
